I was born in BENIN, one of the smallest countries in West Africa. I left my country very young and did my schooling in France.
During my travels in Benin, I was able to see the warm welcome of the inhabitants, their smile but also their outcome and the difficulties encountered in their daily life. I was also struck by the number of mothers who go to work with their babies on their backs, as well as the children who are already working to help their parents, instead of being at school.
Despite a wide range of schools in Benin, they remain quite expensive. In fact, many are private, so not necessarily accessible for all families. In a country where the average salary is 130,000 CFA or 198 euros per month, school remains a luxury.
From which the project of a school with Ludik'Arts was born. We named this project “SONAGNON” which means in FON language (the most commonly spoken language in Benin) “Tomorrow will be beautiful”. Tomorrow will be beautiful for the children of Benin!

Ludik'arts aims to promote art to everyone. With the SONAGNON project we will not deviate from this rule since we will support teaching focused on ARTS and CULTURE. The association will be involved in the implementation of this project.
We are also committed to supporting the local economy, for example by purchasing regional products for meals, by soliciting local resources, by employing local artisans and by relying on local authorities (associations, town hall). , ….) Any euro collected by Ludik'arts for the project will be directly and entirely allocated to the concrete creation of this school complex.
Our association has given itself the mission of building the school, but initially starting with the nursery section. There will be 3 classes, each welcoming around 30 students. We believe that access to education is a primordial issue today because it allows the development of the individual on the one hand but also the overall economic development of a society by allowing the creation and access to more of jobs. From a social point of view it allowsalsoto communicate, but also to be able to integrate into society. During our trips and workshops in Benin, we became particularly aware of the absence of educational materials (books, pens, slate pencils, school materials, etc.) in schools. We are therefore going to help the structure with school materials.
Ludik'arts has embarked on a large-scale project.
Or : in Agla near Cotonou.
Why in town : many NGOs will build in the villages, filling a great need. But unfortunately this tends to make us forget that even in the city, many children remain excluded from the school system.
Budget : Today we estimate the construction cost at around 170,000 Є. The complex will include 3 nursery classes and 5 primary classes. A canteen with a kitchen for preparing meals on site, a gym, the library... etc.
In order to carry out this project, we are carrying out concrete actions (requests for grants, partnerships, exhibitions, activities, etc.) But we will also need your help to fully finance the construction.
